Starting over.

After what feels like quite a long time, but in reality has probably only been about a month off, I have decided to get back on the bike. So to speak. I got discouraged last month when I vascillated between the same 3 pounds, and never left that weight bracket. (I was between XX1.5 and XX3 lbs for nearly the entire month of February. It was frustrating to not see a change).

I got on the scale this morning, and I was at XX9. So, I dropped down out of that "stuck" weight without trying, or paying attention. Which I guess is a good thing; better than gaining weight, right? LOL

So, I'm going to try to "low carb" it this time, because this is what got me to within 10-lbs of my goal weight the last time I was on a diet. I lost something like 30 lbs in 2 months, but then I stalled, and not long after, got pregnant.

Starting this morning with an Atkins style induction. I will go on this for 2 weeks, and then (as I'm still reading the book, we will see how it goes) but I believe the way it works is, you slowly introduce carbs until you find your "Number", and the carbs I will introduce will be the ones that I"ve been trying to make around the house. sprouted grains, and all that.

My goal was to do this "the right way", but that was too frustrating, its too easy for me to get depressed and not care when I don't see progress. I know how good I feel "skinny". At least, closer to my goal. I can use this time to slowly learn to make everything I want to learn. My ultimate goal is to make everything that is processed myself, so I can control the type/quality of ingredients that are in my products. I have a TON of recipes saved. I just need to do my trial and error version of them, and find what works for us.

I've also been looking into this "Couch to 5K" program that helps you work up to running. I'm thinking about implementing that, but at the same time, I'm getting overwhelmed with everything I need to do and am NOT getting done. One thing at a time, I guess, but I'm already 20 things behind. we will see how that goes.
